1. Introduction
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the WorkBridge platform, including the website, web application, worker profile services, employer services, job marketplace, applications, messaging, notifications, reporting, verification, and related features.
By creating an account or using WorkBridge, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use WorkBridge.
2. About WorkBridge
WorkBridge is a digital marketplace designed to connect workers and employers through job posting, worker discovery, application management, verification, communication, and reporting tools.
WorkBridge facilitates marketplace interactions. Unless otherwise expressly agreed, WorkBridge is not the employer of workers and is not the employee, agent, or representative of employers or workers.
3. User roles
Users must use the platform according to their assigned role and permissions.
WorkBridge supports different user roles, including:
- Workers, who create profiles, browse jobs, apply for work, communicate through permitted channels, and manage accepted jobs.
- Employers, who create employer profiles, post jobs, review applicants, accept candidates, and use reporting tools.
- Admins, who may support verification, moderation, platform operations, job approvals, payment/outcome support, and compliance activities.
4. Account registration
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and onboarding.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the accuracy of your profile
- Keeping your login details secure
- All activity performed through your account
- Notifying WorkBridge of suspected unauthorised account access
WorkBridge may suspend or restrict accounts that contain false, misleading, incomplete, or suspicious information.
5. Worker responsibilities
Workers agree to:
- Provide accurate profile, skills, location, banking, and verification information
- Apply only for jobs they are genuinely able and willing to perform
- Communicate respectfully and professionally
- Submit truthful proof of work where required
- Comply with applicable laws, workplace rules, safety requirements, and employer instructions
- Not misrepresent qualifications, identity, availability, or work completed
6. Employer responsibilities
Employers agree to:
- Provide accurate company and contact information
- Post lawful, clear, and truthful job opportunities
- Describe compensation, location, timing, duties, and requirements accurately
- Review applications fairly and professionally
- Communicate respectfully with workers
- Honour accepted job terms and payment obligations where applicable
- Not use WorkBridge for unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, abusive, or exploitative purposes
7. Job posts and applications
Employers are responsible for the content of job posts.
Workers are responsible for the accuracy of applications and submitted information.
WorkBridge may review, approve, reject, moderate, remove, or restrict job posts, applications, profiles, or content that breach these Terms, platform policies, or applicable law.
8. Verification
WorkBridge may request documents or information to verify workers, employers, or job-related activity.
Verification may include identity, residence, bank, business, company, or other supporting documents.
Verification status is not a guarantee of future conduct, performance, suitability, or payment. It is a platform trust measure based on information available at the time of review.
WorkBridge may approve, reject, request more information, or revoke verification where necessary.
9. Communication and chat
WorkBridge may provide in-platform messaging or chat features.
Users must not use communication tools for:
- Harassment or abuse
- Fraud or scams
- Sharing illegal content
- Circumventing platform rules
- Collecting unnecessary sensitive information
- Misrepresenting employment or payment terms
WorkBridge may restrict chat access according to application status or platform rules.
10. Payments and outcomes
Where payment or work outcome functionality is available, users agree to provide accurate payment, completion, and proof information.
Unless WorkBridge expressly provides payment processing terms, payment obligations remain between the relevant employer and worker.
WorkBridge may record payment status, work completion status, admin notes, and supporting proof to assist with operational tracking, reporting, and dispute handling.
11. Reports and analytics
Employers may access reporting and analytics related to their own jobs, applicants, and marketplace activity.
Reports may include:
- Job views
- Apply clicks
- Applications
- Accepted candidates
- Work outcomes
- Job performance
- Engagement analytics
Reports are informational and may depend on data availability, system activity, and filtering criteria.
12. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Create false accounts
- Misrepresent identity, employer status, qualifications, work history, payment ability, or job details
- Upload fraudulent documents
- Abuse, threaten, harass, or discriminate against other users
- Circumvent WorkBridge workflows or security controls
- Scrape, copy, reverse-engineer, or misuse platform data
- Upload malicious software or harmful content
- Use the platform for unlawful work, exploitation, fraud, or unsafe activity
- Interfere with platform performance, security, or integrity
13. Platform moderation
WorkBridge may, where reasonably necessary:
- Remove or restrict content
- Reject or suspend job posts
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Request further verification
- Restrict messaging or application access
- Investigate suspicious activity
- Preserve records for audit, dispute, safety, or legal purposes
14. Availability and changes
WorkBridge aims to provide a reliable platform, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time.
We may also perform maintenance, security updates, or operational changes.
15. Third-party services
WorkBridge may use third-party services for hosting, authentication, messaging, notifications, storage, reporting, or communications.
Your use of those services may be subject to additional terms or service limitations.
16. Intellectual property
WorkBridge owns or is licensed to use the platform design, branding, software, content, workflows, and related intellectual property.
Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from WorkBridge materials without written permission.
Users retain responsibility for content they submit, but grant WorkBridge the right to use that content as necessary to operate the platform.
17. Privacy
Use of WorkBridge is also governed by the WorkBridge Privacy Policy.
By using the platform, you agree that WorkBridge may process personal information according to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
18. Disclaimers
WorkBridge facilitates connections between workers and employers. WorkBridge does not guarantee:
- That a worker will be selected for a job
- That an employer will receive suitable applicants
- That a user will perform as expected
- That verification eliminates all risk
- That reports or analytics will always be complete or error-free
- That jobs, payments, or outcomes will be free from disputes
Users remain responsible for their own decisions, conduct, agreements, and obligations.
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WorkBridge will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform.
WorkBridge’s liability, where it cannot be excluded, will be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
20. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify WorkBridge against claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms
- False or misleading information you provide
- Your misuse of the platform
- Your unlawful conduct
- Disputes arising from your interactions with other users
21. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the platform at any time.
WorkBridge may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You breach these Terms
- You provide false or misleading information
- You misuse the platform
- Your conduct creates legal, security, operational, or reputational risk
- Required verification is not completed
- We are required to do so by law
22. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Disputes will be handled according to applicable South African law and any dispute resolution process adopted by WorkBridge.
23. Updates to these Terms
WorkBridge may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on the platform.
Continued use of WorkBridge after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.
